Frequency Specific Microcurrent

Microcurrent is a physical therapy modality that utilizes electrical current measured in millionths of an amp. Research has proven that the application of microcurrent increases the production of ATP, the energy produced by the cells, by up to 500%. It also increases cellular protein synthesis and detoxification. This stimulates structures to heal much more quickly on a cellular level.

Each type of tissue in the body utilizes a specific, unique frequency in the electrical bonds of the walls of each cell. Research has discovered these signature frequencies and identified how specific conditions such as inflammation, trauma, or viral infection can alter them, contributing to structural imbalances at a cellular level. Science has subsequently identified the frequencies that must be applied from an external source in order to return the cells’ energetic resonance to its normal state, thus directly facilitating the healing process. The result of this research is a modality called Frequency Specific Microcurrent, or FSM, which has been in use since 1994. Using this machine, a painless current is introduced through the skin and directed to the specific tissue(s) affected by the injury or illness.

This form of therapy has been found to be extremely effective for a wide variety of conditions, from sprains and strains to yeast infections, and even for nerve and spinal cord-mediated pain, for which few other forms of treatment have been found to be beneficial. Clinical data collected on over 20,000 patient treatments has shown that 60-80% of the benefits produced in a treatment session last until the next treatment, 4 to 7 days later. Although some patients have demonstrated permanent improvement after a single treatment, the average number of sessions required depends on the severity and complexity of the problem being addressed.

Regrettably, this highly effective modality is not yet widely available to medical practitioners. Fortunately, it has been in use at Golden Leaf Health Services for years and is used extensively to treat a wide variety of health issues.
